Burgundy, the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de nuits (part 2)
These wine regions share a similar geological base dating back to the Jurassic period. Millions of years ago, geological movements in the earth's crust created the Alps mountain range and collapsed the Bressan Rift, leading to the creation of a unique landscape with outcrops of different layers. These layers of rock are the legacy of different eras and are the source of the unrivalled wines of the Burgundy area.
