Bonifacio: a mediterranean military jewel

In the south of Corsica stands a rocky spur of spectacular dimensions: the citadel of Bonifacio, situated at nearly 60 meters above the sea level. Throughout its history, Bonifacio has been confronted with the violence of enemy attacks, pushing the engineers to constantly reinvent the defense system.
