Bellamy
It’s no ordinary holiday for police captain Paul Bellamy and his wife Françoise at their summer home in southern France. Things get complicated with the arrival of Paul’s half-brother, Jacques, a petty adventurer with a drinking problem, jealous of Paul’s domestic happiness. On top of it all, Bellamy is contacted by Noël Gentil, a man on the run, hiding out in a local motel, caught between his wife and a demanding mistress. Gentil fears he may have killed a man but refuses to admit whom. Walled in by anxiety and approximations, he greatly intrigues Bellamy. Working on intuition, Bellamy sets out alone in an investigation to help a possible murderer. But he finds it easier to aid a stranger rather than a member of his very own family.
